I speak at many engagements and I had an idea of my strengths and weaknesses, however the Speakers Academy gave me the opportunity not only to spend time with other professionals but also to be able to present and receive constructive feedback. There are not many courses you can attend where you receive the type of facilitation, learning, feedback and high energy that Andrew Clark and his team provide. This was by far the best course that I’ve ever been on. World class material, brilliantly taught. With the six steps system coached by Andy, Gil and Brad coupled with lots of practice I have made massive strides out of my comfort zone. The Speaker's Intensive course was run by three top class public speakers who are very experienced in getting even nervous people to very high class levels of public speaking very quickly. Not only was I given clear idea of how to implement what was learned, we had lots of practice and the bar was constantly raised throughout, so very high quality new habits were developed over the two days. I had a chance to take apart my current style and completely rebuild it from scratch. Great pace with quality venue and facilities. I arrived at the Speakers Intensive seeking a way to structure my presentations and to learn how to sell events using the presentations. I got a lot more than I had anticipated: I also learned how to present in my own natural style and be able to use humour to make my presentations even more impactful. One week after this course I was asked to give a sales presentation at half a day’s notice, replacing a far more experienced speaker – the company’s representatives said it was the best presentation they had seen to date!
